Well the day of Black Stump is fast approaching, a little too fast for my taste. It's a strange balancing act I'm playing between working enough to get by, rehearsing enough to perform, eating enough to stay strong, sleeping enough to stay awake and dreaming enough to risk it all. On top of this I can't wait to be in Sydney so I can see Helen again, so half the time I'm counting the down the days out of excitment and the other half is counting down the days wishing there were more so our performances are polished... so confused. In other news - Jesus is way cool!
There is a new add that's on tv in Rocky "Beef Capital of Australia". It's by a company called Wiggo's Beef City Meats, a local butcher. The add's slogan goes - Good friends don't let friends become Vegetarians. Sometimes I feel like I'm just not meant to be living in Rocky, it feels hostile for some reason, like I'm not part of the in crowd.
My kids performed their clowning skit today. There's nothing funnier I think than seeing an 8 year old with a bright red nose, stand in the middle of the stage for the first time with stage fright written all over his face. He couldn't move, he couldn't speak, he just stood there glued to the spot in total shock. The audience laughed so hard, it was very cute. Some things you just can't rehearse...
